About the Goodyear EAGLE LS-2 RFT

The Goodyear Eagle LS-2 RFT tires are the run flat version of the second generation of Goodyear's "Luxury Sport" grand touring all season tires. Goodyear Tire developed the LS-2 RFT to deliver a smooth, quiet ride, all season traction, all with the added promise of having a run flat tire. Goodyear makes them an appropriate tire choice for many of today's domestic and imported luxury sedans, looking for a run flat variant. The Goodyear Eagle LS-2 RFT is also used as Original Equipment on minivans, crossovers, sport utility vehicles, and specialty pickup trucks. The Goodyear Eagle LS-2 RFT tires have a symmetric, independent tire tread block design featuring computer optimized block sizes to minimize tread noise for a quiet and comfortable ride. The Goodyear Eagle LS-2 RFT tires feature wide circumferential channels to help evacuate water from beneath the contact patch to enhance wet traction while sipes provide hundreds of biting edges for traction in light snow. In the event of a flat tire the Goodyear Eagle LS-2 RFT can still be driven, but should be kept to a limit of 50 miles and at speeds of 50 mph, and will need to be replaced even if internal damage doesn’t occur. The tire's internal structure features twin steel belts reinforced by nylon for strength and high-speed durability.
